Environmental Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementation,
and management of projects that will promote environmental sustainability and compliance.
The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, knowledge of environmental regulations,
and experience developing solutions that minimize environmental impact while supporting operational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, design, and oversee projects related to environmental protection, such as water and air pollution control, waste disposal, and site remediation.
- Conduct environmental assessments, audits, and risk analyses.
- Ensure compliance with local, state/provincial, and federal environmental regulations.
- Develop and implement environmental management systems and sustainability initiatives.
- Analyze environmental data and prepare technical reports and documentation.
- Collaborate with engineers, scientists, and project managers on multidisciplinary projects.
- Provide technical support for permitting, reporting, and regulatory submissions.
- Recommend and implement pollution prevention and control strategies.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of environmental programs and recommend improvements.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng., PE, or equivalent) designation or eligibility is an asset.
- Strong understanding of environmental laws, standards, and regulatory frameworks (e.g., EPA, CEPA, ISO 14001).
- Experience with environmental modeling software and data analysis tools.
- Knowledge of water and wastewater treatment, air quality management, soil and groundwater remediation, and waste management systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and GIS or CAD software.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
